It’s XMas, we’re all home, so Wide Awake and Mok - you know, those 2 roasters roasting at a stone's throw of each other in BXL’s Dansaert Neighborhood - are bringing out the big guns for the XMas edition.
We don’t know whether it’s a coincidence, but Costa Rica is where the Jingle Bells are chiming this year, and rightly so. Mok presents you with a honey anaerobic fermentation from the Tarazu region, while Wide Awake went to strike gold in the Sarchi region with a (black) honey processed H3 (an offshoot from a program aimed at introducing more variety into coffee plants, which we support through Your Coffee Counts)
All nice and well, but what does this amount to in your cup? Cinnamon, Red Apple and Raisin for Mok - and Strawberry, Candied Cherry, Caramelized Pineapple for Wide Awake. If that’s not worth a "Hohoho!", we don’t know what is!
Both Coffees are filter roasts, but we also grind for espresso if needed.
