Roberto knew he was underutilizing his terroir’s potential but needed buyers that were willing to pay premiums for a higher cup quality. With the growing popularity of Peruvian specialty coffees, he got that opportunity and seized on it. With the help of our importer, Falcon Coffee, he started regenerating his lands with other varietals, mostly caturra. In the last years his patient work has started resulting in greatly increased cup quality. We found this washed lot to really showcase the potential of Roberto’s farm’s terroir and altitude. A strong citric acidity and orange-like sweetness. Truly a fruity, bright cup.
